What you build

Everything to cut the Jet XL yourself or have it cut: SVG and DXF files per sheet and per thickness (12 mm birch, 6 mm poplar, 3 mm birch), the sheet poster, a building manual in three languages, the parts list and the hardware list.

For personal use. You buy the plywood and the hardware yourself.

How it goes together

  1. Unpacking: the parts of the Jet XL laid out per group next to the boxes

    Unpack

    Every box is a building phase. Lay the parts out per group; their code is engraved on them.

  2. The frame of the Jet XL being built

    The frame

    Keel and formers, walls and bulkheads, or spokes and hub: dry-fit and square first, then glue.

  3. The large surfaces of the Jet XL going on

    Close it up

    The large surfaces go on: skin, walls, deck or platform, clamped until the glue has set.

  4. The Jet XL being finished and lacquered

    Finish

    Round the edges, sand and lacquer. Then go through the safety paragraph.

Safety

  • You cut this plan yourself. Follow your laser cutter's safety instructions and never leave it running unattended.
  • This is a kit for adult builders. It is not a toy and carries no CE marking.
  • Round and sand all edges and corners smooth before the model is used.
  • Use only under adult supervision.
  • Maximum load: 35 kg. Check glue joints and bolts before every use.
  • Lacquer or paint the whole; let the finish cure completely.
