Our building kits are laser-cut from wood. Read this before building.
Not a toy
Our building kits are hobby kits for builders aged 14 and up. They are not toys within the meaning of the European Toy Safety Directive and are not intended for children to play with. If a product explicitly says it is a toy, it carries the CE marking and the age and warnings on that product page apply.
Age and supervision
- Building kits contain small parts: not suitable for children under 3 years, choking hazard. Keep loose parts and offcuts out of their reach.
- The building advice on the product page is about difficulty, not safety. Younger builders build only under adult supervision.

Tools and materials
- Parts are pushed out of the sheet by hand. Use a hobby knife to trim remnants if needed, cutting away from your body.
- Use water-based wood glue. Glue in a ventilated room and keep glue out of reach of children.
- Lightly sand sharp edges with fine sandpaper (180 grit or finer).
- Laser-cut edges are slightly darkened; that is soot, not a defect. Wash your hands after building.
Assembly
- Lay out all parts and compare them with the parts list in the manual.
- Dry-fit the parts without glue.
- Glue only when everything fits. Let the glue dry for 24 hours before loading the product.
- Treat outdoor products with a suitable varnish or oil; untreated wood is not weatherproof.
Use
Building kits are decorative or intended for the stated use (for example a birdhouse). They are not meant to be stood or sat on unless the product page says so explicitly. Keep wood away from open flames.
