Colours in your drawing
- Red (#FF0000): cut
- Blue (#0000FF): engrave a line or crease
- Black fill: engrave an area
What we do not cut
- PVC, vinyl and faux leather: Cutting releases chlorine gas: toxic to people and corrosive to the machine.
- Polycarbonate (Lexan): Melts and catches fire instead of cutting cleanly, and gives off toxic fumes.
- ABS: Melts into a sticky mass and gives off hydrogen cyanide.
- Glass-fibre and carbon-fibre composite: The resin gives off toxic fumes and the fibres do not cut; the dust is harmful.
- Coated or chrome-tanned leather: The coating and the chromium give off toxic fumes; only vegetable-tanned leather is allowed.
- Cutting metal: This laser does not cut metal; anodised aluminium can only be engraved.
