Terms and conditions

These terms apply to every order placed with Bouwkit, a trade name of Dream Ops B.V., Hamerstraat 3D, 1135 GA Edam, the Netherlands, registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce under number 42047001. Contact: [email protected].

1. Offer and contract

  1. Every offer on the website is without obligation and valid while stocks last. Obvious errors in price or description do not bind us.
  2. The contract is concluded when you place your order with the button "order with an obligation to pay" and we confirm it by e-mail.
  3. All prices are in euros and include VAT unless stated otherwise. Shipping costs are shown separately before you order.

2. Products

  1. Building kits are laser-cut wooden parts you assemble yourself. Dimensions and the number of parts are on the product page.
  2. Building plans are digital files (for example DXF, SVG or PDF) for your own use; the licence is on the download page.
  3. Made-to-measure products are produced for you from the dimensions you enter. Check them carefully: made-to-measure products cannot be returned (see section 6).
  4. The cutting service is provided on the basis of a quote stating price, material and validity.

3. Payment

Payment is made in advance through the payment methods offered. For a quote you receive a payment link. We only start producing or shipping once payment has been received.

4. Delivery

  1. We ship to the countries shown at checkout. Delivery times are indicative; the expected time is on the product page.
  2. Parts longer than 1.75 m or parcels heavier than 30 kg cannot be sent as a parcel. Those orders are collected in Edam or delivered by separate arrangement (see "Shipping and delivery").
  3. The risk of damage or loss passes to you on delivery.

5. Digital files

A building plan is delivered immediately after payment through a personal download link that is valid for 30 days and can be used a limited number of times. You can renew the link on your account page.

6. Right of withdrawal

  1. As a consumer you have 14 days after receipt of a building kit to change your mind. See "Right of withdrawal" for the conditions and the model form.
  2. The right of withdrawal does not apply to made-to-measure products produced to your specifications, nor to digital files where you agreed to immediate delivery and waived your right of withdrawal when ordering.

7. Warranty and complaints

  1. We deliver products that conform to the contract. If something is wrong, tell us as soon as possible at [email protected] with your order number and photos.
  2. We respond within 5 working days. A justified complaint is resolved with replacement parts, a new product or a refund.
  3. If we cannot resolve it together, you may submit the dispute to the European Commission's ODR platform: https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.

8. Liability

Our liability is limited to the amount of the order, except in case of intent or gross negligence and except where the law does not permit a limitation. Building kits are not toys for children below the stated age; see "Safety and use".

9. Applicable law

Dutch law applies to these terms. Mandatory consumer protection of the country where you live remains in force.
